An Intimate Dining Experience at Chateau Lill

Food is our love language, and we love any excuse to share our passion for delicious fare through intentional hospitality. We invited a bevy of Seattle event planners to a special evening in the Barrel Room at Chateau Lill, one of Woodinville’s most stately venues. And when in Rome, we couldn’t resist treating guests to the estate’s new private label, Lill Family Wines. Guests were greeted with their choice of specialty drinks, served from a beautifully adorned acrylic bar by Happy Hour Bar Rentals. Elegant lounge furnishings from Fanciful Rentals welcomed guests to linger in style. Paperie designed by Grey & Cake brought old-world grace to tablescapes and special touches. Our team wanted to create special ‘moments’ throughout the space, with interactive stations that allowed for personalization. A ‘build your own’ gnocchi bar allowed guests to choose from two hand-made gnocchi flavors and customize their dish with robust sauces and choice of complementary ingredients. We shared our twist on s’mores with an interactive sweet and savory station—sweet options included house-made vanilla bean or strawberry marshmallows, while savory paired cheddar crackers with torched brie and prosciutto. As the night came to a close, we sent guests away with Lill Family Wines, house-made ruby chocolate bars with dried fruits and nuts, and customized mini cheese boards by Pomp & Revel, etched with their company logos. We relished time well spent with friends old and new, surrounded by elegant touches dreamed up by Amy Ly of Gather Design Company.

Our design inspiration was to bring a contemporary take on the old world feel of Chateau Lill, with a romantic but fresh vibe. To brighten up the barrel room, we worked with a color palette of white and cream with navy and lilac accents. With a long statement table, and multiple cocktail and bistro tables, we brought in BBJ linens to brighten and soften the space, with single varietal floral arrangements and abundant candle light. Statement florals were highlighted in a new acrylic and white bar by Happy Hour Bar Rentals, with contemporary and luxe paper goods by Grey & Cake. We worked with Brian of Lightsmiths to create fresh floral chandeliers which hung around the barrel room, created with white hydrangea. Floral garlands were hung over the dinner table for an added element of luxury.
